VEHEMENCE limited edition skateboard deck revealed at Paris 2024 Olympics

The Paris Olympics marked the 2nd time that skateboarding would be part of the wider line up of sports. Skateboarding would be represented in two distinct disciplines, street and park, both men and women. Whilst skateboard legend, Andy McDonald, skating for Team GB, would make his Olympic debut at the age of 51, he was joined by South African “lifer” Dallas Oberholzer, 49, on his 2nd Olympic appearance, in Skateboard Park.

Dallas Oberholzer, South African skateboarder, 2 time Olympian

If you managed to catch any of the skateboarding, you’ll know the standard was of the highest caliber, and those who walked away with medals left no arguments or doubts about their abilities either in the park or on the street course. Competitive skateboarding is in good hands, the kids have got it covered.

In the future, we may well see vert skateboarding included in the Olympics. We’d support that move!

VEHEMENCE stepped into assist Dallas Oberholzer, who’s Olympic journey was self funded, with new skate decks – and these decks are now available. Only 20 decks were produced, and were designed around park aka bowl and pool skateboarding.

Be sure to follow @VEHEMENCEskate for more skateboard related content and follow @dallasafrica to see what his next adventure is all about.

And never forget… age is just number!
